Tariff Surcharges
Notice April 29, 2025
As you've likely seen in recent news from Washington, the U.S. government has implemented a new wave of tariffs that significantly impact many imported goods. While we had hoped these increases would be avoided, unfortunately, that has not been the case.
Beginning in 2018, a 25% tariff was placed on many of the goods we source from lower-cost countries. Our industry remains highly dependent on imported materials, as domestic alternatives are either unavailable or not cost-effective. At Rowley, we continually search globally to deliver the best possible value to you.
In recent weeks the government has imposed additional reciprocal tariffs on numerous countries, on top of those introduced earlier this year. As a result, our material costs have increased by 45–145%. Despite our best efforts, we are no longer able to fully absorb these increases.
After carefully reviewing our current inventory and incoming shipments, we’ve worked to reduce the impact and delay these changes as much as possible. However, effective June 2, 2025, the following adjustments will take effect:
- A price increase of 12.5% will take effect on The Finial Company™ and Paris Texas Hardware™ products.
- The existing 10% surcharge, in place since 2019, will remain unchanged.
We understand these surcharges are unfortunate, and by simplifying their application, we hope to make it easier for you to pass along the increased costs and better preserve your margins.
In addition, due to rising shipping costs the rates in our Flat Rate Shipping Program will increase by 10%, effective June 2, 2025. We encourage you to review the updated shipping rates, which can be found here.
These changes will apply to all orders placed after June 1, 2025.
We have no way of knowing how long these surcharges will be required, but we remain committed to adjusting them as soon as circumstances allow. Thank you for your continued partnership and trust in Rowley.
